ImmunoModulator™
Our second patented technology, the ImmunoModulator, is a “1st in class” device intended for the treatment of life threatening hard-to-treat diseases. The technology employs ultraviolet light to inactivate pathogens such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, H1N1 and other RNA type viruses, as well as certain cancers and autoimmune diseases. The hypothesis is that the ImmunoModulator UV therapy when re-infused to the body will cause a cell-mediated response.
The 20-30 minute procedure is administered on an outpatient basis, and involves the drawing of approximately 4% of a patient’s infected blood, via a single circuit closed-loop system. The blood is then processed through the ImmunoModulator where it is exposed to a very precise amount of UV light for a very precise amount of time. During that process any pathogen that is exposed to the light is inactivated. After exposure, the blood is re-infused to the body. Remarkably, pathogen inactivation and immune response continues after re-infusion of the treated blood. The end result, as suggested by our extensive research, is a cell-mediated response.
ImmunoModulation therapy demonstrates a favorable safety and efficacy profile and is far less expensive than all other therapies, including HAART, the standard treatment for HIV. Another advantage is that it is void of any adverse effects. Last, it is impervious to viral mutations, that is, the virus cannot evade the therapy through mutation. Because the ImmunoModulator produces the targeted stimulation from the virus or cancer cells in the patient’s blood, it is expected to work with a wide range of pathogens and certain cancers.
