Energex™ Pulsed Radio Frequency Device
Our patented, FDA cleared Energex Device, has been proven to be safe and effective in the relief of chronic temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction and chronic anterior knee pain, and it has entered those markets. The Energex utilizes pulsed radio frequency energy to create low-level electronic stimulation of the tissue. The Energex device generates radio-frequency energy in the 460 kHz range. The energy is pulsed: rapidly cycled on and off at 660 Hz. The device is a compact tabletop unit with an attached applicator used for applying treatment.
The basic function of the device is to generate a specific high frequency, high voltage electrical signal at the tip of the applicator. This electrical signal induces a "corona discharge" which ionizes the air within the applicator tube and is ground seeking.
