ENERGEX
CLINICAL RESEARCH
TMJ
A randomized,
placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical study was conducted by Dr. Noshir
Mehta and colleagues at the Gelb TMJ Pain Center, Tufts Dental School, Boston,
MA, to determine the effectiveness of Pulsed Radio Frequency Energy (PRFE)
using the Energex® Device in patients with Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)
arthralgia. Forty subjects were randomly assigned to 2 groups, receiving either
Energex therapy or a placebo treatment. Research concluded the Energex therapy is highly
effective when compared to placebo in the following parameters: pain level,
range of motion, and both right and left lateral movement.
"Our
research has established that Energex therapy is highly effective in the
treatment of temporomandibular joint dysfunction."
